A18-grade copper coated double-deoxidised G3Si1 or SG2 mild steel MIG wire for welding unalloyed and low-alloyed mild and medium tensile steels. it can be used with both argon/co2 mixed gas or CO2.
Precision layer-wound with a high-quality copper finish for improved feeding. Suitable for use in general fabrication, construction, tanks and boilers, sheet metal, agricultural, car body repair and maintenance applications

MG-2 is a ER70-6 grade mild steel welding wire for (MIG/MAG) welding of general structural steels, pipe steels, and cast steels using CO2 or mixed shielding gases, depending on thickness of the base metal. Generally used in steel construction, shipbuilding, machine, tank, boiler production, automotive industry. Furthermore preheating is required, depending on the plate thickness and carbon equivalent of the base metal.  However a thin and homogeneous copper coating increases electrical conductivity and protects the wire from rusting.
